About Me

I'm a 19 yr old artist from Fort Wayne, IN.

Most of my art centers around animals and nature, and the human interaction with it.

Subjects of mental health also sometimes play a role, as I regularly fight severe anxiety.

As an artist I hope that my art makes the viewer happy, and draws them in, sometimes forcing the viewer to look deeper and think.

Back Ground

I've been dedicated to a career in art since I was little. I used to draw with anything I could, on everything I could find, being resourceful. I consumed all I could find in art and "how to draw"s. Starting with my brother showing me how to draw Pokemon, and an old tv show called "Mark Kistler's Imagination station". My teachers used to complain about me drawing in class too much, but my art teachers always loved me, especially my High School Art teachers.

High School and the art teachers I had then had a big impact on me and my art. My senior year of high school I took 3 different advanced level art classes. At times the work load was overwhelming, but I learned a lot and it helped me form an individualized art style, & gain more confidence in my art. The Art teachers I had, I learned a lot from, although they were extremely critical, it was always from a place of care. I formed a friendship with them and they helped me enter exhibitions & competitions, as well as navigate shifting into college and more professional level Art, and we're still in touch.

Family

My Dad has a big role in the subject of my art and my love for nature. He's a very outdoorsy guy. If he can be outside being active, that's where he'll be, weather it be a full camping trip, kayaking, biking, or just a short walk. He's also always made a point of taking me with him, and spending time with me, and he's always been very supportive of my art.
